Description – receiver.exe is a part of the Big Brother remote viewer application. In the majority of this cases this application is deemed to be a form of spyware although it may occasionally have genuine uses. Remote viewers enable others to have access to view your files, settings, and even computer activity from their own machine. In the wrong hands this means that Big Brother and consequently its constituent process receiver.exe can be used to monitor your computer activity and even steal your personal information.

bigbro.exe, capture.exe, and keyserver.exe typically accompany the receiver.exe process and files with the same names will also exist on your computer if this application has been installed. It may be possible that an educational body or your employer has installed this software in order to retain the integrity of their network but if you have no knowledge of this application then you should remove this process to be safe.
